How much does Mathnova cost?
Mathnova is a monthly subscription, billed monthly. Cancel anytime — no long-term contract. Every subscription starts with a 3-day free trial, so you only pay if Mathnova is actually working for your child.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your account settings at any time — no phone calls, no emails required. Cancellation takes effect at the next billing cycle, and you keep full access until then. If you cancel during the 3-day trial, you pay nothing.
How is this different from Khanmigo or generic AI tutors?
Most AI tutoring tools help your child solve a problem in front of them. Mathnova's focus is different: we diagnose the specific reasoning patterns behind how your child thinks about SAT math — not just whether they got a question right. Our diagnostic questions are engineered with distractors that expose particular misconceptions, and scratch-work analysis confirms how they arrived at each answer. Then we target practice at exactly those gaps, continuously re-diagnosing as your child improves.
How does practice work?
Every skill has three levels: Easy, Medium, and Hard. Your child starts where the diagnostic places them. When they get 4 of their last 5 questions right at a level, they move up; if they miss most, they step back to build the foundation first. Hard is the top level and there is no "all done" screen, because the strongest students keep their skills sharp. Practice is continuous, pausing every 5 questions so your child can take a break or keep going, and progress saves automatically so they can stop and resume anytime.
Is my child's work private?
Yes. Scratch work, diagnostic results, and practice submissions are stored securely and used only to power the analysis for your account. We do not sell data, and anonymized data is only used to improve the product when parents explicitly opt in.
Do you offer refunds?
The 3-day free trial is your risk-free window — cancel before it ends and you pay nothing. Once a month has been charged it isn't refundable: canceling stops future billing, and you keep full access through the end of the period you've paid for.
